Physical Therapist I Department: Stroke Program Schedule: Full-Time Shift: Days with weekend rotation Hours: 8 Job Details: * CPR Certified * State of Michigan Licensure * Assumes full responsibility for evaluating patient's need for physical therapy. Plans and executes individual treatment programs in accordance with the State of Michigan licensure and PT scope of practice. Keeps treatment skills upgraded through continuing education, evidence based research, and program development. Perform job responsibilities in accordance with the program's strategic objectives and goals to carry out organizational strategic objectives. Essential Job Requirements: * Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association accredited Physical Therapy Program. * Licensure with the State of Michigan. * Possesses and maintains CPR certification to meet department/program protocol. * Physical Demands: * The physical ability to lift, position, and transport patients. * The ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, grasp, reach, and occasionally climb. * The ability to hear, speak, write and see (correctable vision). * The ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lifting excess of 75 pounds. * The ability to occasionally push, pull, or carry weight anywhere from 1 to 100+ pounds while assisting patients and moving equipment. * The ability to exert up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-20 pounds of force frequently, and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
