The Clinical Nurse Leader performs the roles of lateral integration, transforming patient experiences and enhancing outcomes of care (clinical, service, and costs). CNLs accomplish this through process improvement, data management, informatics, promotion of evidence-based practices and outcomes, the evaluation and development of staff nurses, and having the capability to manage complex cases in clinical practice. The role of the CNL often extends beyond a specific unit in performing hospital wide change efforts. The successful candidate will demonstrate that s/he can provide leadership towards our clinical, financial and quality goals while engaging staff and physicians in the process.
