Hamlet aka Hambone aka Hammy is a rescue from a shelter in the UP. He was found laying in a ditch and is it was assumed he had been hit by a car but he was fine, just lost, tired and confused as to where his family was. He must have some story to tell! Hammy must have had a loving family because his weight shows he was almost loved to death. He is obese and currently he is a bit angry at being on a diet. As you can see by the photo, he was allowed on the furniture. He can be bullheaded and complains loudly when he doesn't want to do something, like go for a walk or get off the couch. He is anxious to go for a car ride but he is frantic in the car and barks a lot. In other words, he is NOT a good traveler. His age is unknown but around 8 is probably a good guess. He is ok with other dogs but would prefer to be an only dog. He ignores the cats and since he can be a bit grumpy at times, a home without small children is best....
