Early in the summer of xxxx, volunteer Jenny Pullen began seeing a small tabby cat playing in her backyard; since she loved to chase fireflies at night, she dubbed her Firefly. But, the kitty was too scared to come near Jenny, even when she just talked to her through the window, so she started leaving food out for her. it took many weeks but finally Firefly let her approach her in the backyard without running right away. She finally snapped a blurry picture of her through the window and posted it on Facebook, where another one of our eagle-eyed volunteers exclaimed 'it is a girl and she is pregnant!" In mid-August her neighbor rang the doorbell and told Jenny that they had just found 3 kittens in their boat cover; they knew they belonged to Firefly as they had seen here going in there.
